Set scale

Right click and select open image in new tab to see it in full size.

Before you start your takeoffs, you need to calibrate the scale on the drawing.

  • Find a fixed dimension or ruler on the drawing (fixed dimensions are preferred)
  • Select the function scale
  • Set a starting point and an end point.
  • Enter the length of the scale.
  • Click save.

You can change the scale afterwards to update your values. Remember to set a new scale for each page in your pdf.

Point

The points are best used to count instances of something, eg luminaires or doors. Put them in a folder and click on, you’ll get automatic serial numbers based on the first point you put out.

Short key: CTRL + 3

Right click and select open image in new tab to see it in full size.

Annotation settings for Points

Give your annotations properties such as colors, number / tag, name, opacity, size and icon. Choose which measurements to display on the drawing and rotate the display to fit.

Folder

Organize your annotations in suitable folders.

Quantity

Number is used to multiply your takeoffs in the calculation rows. Note! When using numbers, keep in mind that the gross value is multiplied, so make sure you do not make double calculations in the calculation rows.

Lines

Lines are excellent for measuring inner and outer walls, plinths and foundations. Create a folder to easily group for example walls of a certain kind together.

– Start with left click
– Use right click to end placement
– Press CTRL to get straight lines in 15 degree increments

Short key: CTRL + 4
